WEDDING | Amy + Paul | Alderwood Farm Bowen Island

I have always wanted to photograph a wedding on Bowen Island so I was thrilled when Amy and Paul decided to book me for their special day at the Alderwood Farm.  Set in a beautiful and peaceful location, Alderwood Farm is the dream wedding venue for any bride and groom looking to get away from the city.   I absolutely loved the rustic charm and all the wedding details this venue had to offer.

It was a perfect day for Amy and Paul…clear blue skies and sunshine from morning till dusk.  After capturing some ‘getting ready’ moments and as many of the lovely details as possible, we headed to the Bowen Island Memorial Park for the First Look, followed by a beautiful ceremony at the Chapel at the farm…and a fun filled reception with lots of dancing and laughter.  Amy and Paul, an easygoing and fun couple were wonderful to work with and I feel very blessed to have been part of their special day.   Big shout out to my second Photographer Ashley Drody who took many of the great images in this post.    

               Meanwhile back in Vancouver, Paul, the Groom, is about to board the ‘Bowen Arrow’ ferry to Bowen Island.                                              Then off to Memorial Park where the Bride and Groom and have chosen a beautiful spot for the First Look. 

                    Back to the Alderwood Farm for the long awaited Ceremony…
